Skullkin…..Just go check it out.
Well, news has been a little slow the last couple of days and that gives me the perfect chance to throw some more stuff at you that you probably don’t know. Today i am going to throw another one of Tennessee’s finest at ya. The long running Southern Horror Metal band Skullkin. They have been tearing it up with blood, guts, gore,makeup and a killer stage show for a fair number of years now. Skullkin are all about the metal and all about everything horror and gore related. Over time they have recorded a couple of studio albums and filmed a couple of very entertaining videos that could be trailers straight off of any Troma Films movie trailer.(Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman even appears in one said videos.) If you toss some Pantera,Acid Bath, Misfits, a Texas Chainsaw movie and a few buckets of blood and make up then you end up with Skullkin. If you are a fan of horror movies and southern fried metal then you owe it to yourself to go take a listen. They really are a band you are better off seeing live and in person but i know that it’s not possible for everyone so just go give a listen, they have a couple of new tunes up on their MYSPACE. The new stuff is solid and I just don’t think it is possible to go wrong with a song called Dry Fuck Chainsaw. Go hit them up, listen to the tunes, take a gander at the pleasingly cheesy bloody videos and just enjoy. This is one of the more overall entertaining bands you have likely never heard of.
