A litte bit of un-signed from the Southland.
Alright,I am going to keep away from the mainstream and record labels today and keep it un-signed and in the south with a loud little band from Tennessee called Toxic Fuzz. Just click on that name to get to their page. They are from Middle Tennessee, they are regulars on the bar circuit in their area and they are loud and they play pretty damn fast when you see them live. They are a combination of a lot of different sounds due to some very broad influences and backgrounds from the individual members. As far as sound goes I would peg them as more of a Southern Groove style metal, not quite in the same vein as COC or Pantera but they do get their groove on. They have a few songs up on their page from a demo they recorded and if you want a copy I am sure they will hook you up if you contact them. To listen to their initial recordings just doesn’t do them justice, you really have to see these guys live to get the real feel for them. They play really loud and normally step up the tempo quite a bit and their drummer will make you tired by just sitting there and watching him. Toxic Fuzz may not be your thing but its a band you very likely haven’t heard of that’s worth checking out if you like finding new stuff that’s flying under the radar. If you are from the Middle Tennessee area they do have a few show dates up, and if you are not but like what you hear, give them a holler and see if you can help get them to your town or nearby, these guys are not scared to hop in the van and hit the road if there is a stage and a couple of people to play for. Anyways, to wrap it up…Toxic Fuzz, Loud, Fast and you probably haven’t heard of them so go check it out and hear something new today. Tell the the Southern Metal Reporter sent ya.
